Opportunity:

We’ve been involved in a number of transitions during our 12-year relationship with Westfield Bank. Perhaps the most dramatic was the strategic redefinition of the bank from a traditional savings institution to a commercial one traded on Nasdaq. The change had implications for the bank’s operations, its culture and naturally, its brand.

It was important that we not lose the wonderful character and values that had been developed over the course of the bank’s 156-year history. At the same time, a critical component of the brand was the highly skilled and responsive financial services company Westfield Bank was in the midst of becoming.

Community Banking Redefined achieves that, bridging old and new, leaving room for future development. Most importantly, the statement implies redefined customer expectations. Under the umbrella of the new brand positioning, the bank has ventured into new operational models, new ways of reaching customers, and more highly evolved products and services. We believe there’s no limit to the growth the bank (and the brand) can achieve.
